Africa Innovation & Research Centre (AIR-C) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting innovation, research, and technology-driven solutions to address social and economic challenges across Africa. We advance sustainable development by leveraging the power of research, local knowledge, and strategic partnerships to inform policy and scale social and economic initiatives across the continent.
At AIRCE, research is more than data, it’s a pathway to sustainable peace and development. It helps us to design, upscale and implement effective human security policies and practices and social development interventions.
Through our collaborative approach, we weave together diverse forms of knowledge, including local, Indigenous, scientific and practitioner knowledge, to build collective understandings of Africa’s development, governance and human security challenges and co-create and apply equitable and locally-owned responses.
We champion Social Justice for women and youth by expanding access to sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), economic opportunities, education, and platforms that empower them to lead, thrive, and shape Africa's future.
Through research and innovation, we promote environmental Social Justice, climate resilience, and peacebuilding-restoring balance between people and planet in vulnerable communities.
We drive integrated solutions in health, food security, and income generation to ensure sustainable development and dignity for all, leaving no one behind.
